What I Wore - New York Fashion Week

New York Fashion Week

Last week I filled in for Girl With No Job (aka Claudia Oshrey) on The Morning Breath and since it was New York Fashion Week … (insert school girl squeals here)

I’ll tell you all about the trip soon but first up, what I wore!!

Pink Is The New Everything!

Pink isn’t just in. It’s everywhere! Hot pink, light pink, rose pink – all the shades. And if you can layer it like I did with this Cupro slip dress and Badgley Mischka faux leather trench, even better!

Good American Jeans

When you’re running around the city, comfort is key, but you still want to look good! Jeans and a cute top are my go-to and I am in love with my Good American jeans. They fit in all the right places and they’re so comfy! And you can’t do NYC without a great pair of flats. A good animal print is a staple for me and these Kate Spade leopard flats are perfection. This ASOS kimono sleeve blouse is super cute and not too dressy but also not too cas’.

Over The Knee Boots

The Over the Knee Boot is one of those trends that sounds fancier than it is. You can always go dressy with a heel, but it’s to dress down with a low heel (and also more comfortable!) Either way, you’ll be seeing this look all winter!

The Fashion Cape

This may be my favorite trend of the year … the fashion “cape”. Okay, technically it’s more of a drape than a cape but I still love it. No one is actually putting their arms in their coat. They’re just draping it. Which means you don’t have to cover up your cute outfit (like this ASOS Patchwork Lace Mini Dress) and it’s easy to throw on a leather motorcycle jacket without putting too much thought into it.

These are just a few of my faves and even though Texas is refusing to get on board with the concept of cooler weather, I’ll be posting my “must-haves” for Fall soon, as well. To pick up any of these looks, you can click on the image above or Shop the Post below! Stay cool!

xo,
Caroline
