Actually, first came Bailee. My bestie, Bailee, was in town a while back and she does SoulCycle in Houston. Not wanting to miss her workout, she convinced me and our other friend, Logan, to go with her. I never saw it coming but one class and I was hooked.
I wish I could narrow It down to just one thing I love most about SoulCycle you really can’t pin it down to one thing. It’s really an overall experience. The music is always awesome, it’s an awesome community and it’s just so inspiring. It’s 45 minutes of just letting go of everything that’s weighing you down. Relationships, work, stress … it all disappears when you’re in that room. You just unplug and do what you need to do. And even though it’s pretty close quarters, because it’s dark, no one is paying attention to you. Sweat, cry, … you can release every emotion and just do you. It’s completely cathartic.
You’ve probably heard me talk about the changes I’m making in my life right now. I’m really focusing on getting (and staying) healthy and SoulCycle goes hand in hand with the goals I’m working on at Cooper. SoulCycle is pure cardio and gets my heart rate elevated. Plus, I’m burning about 600 calories a session! #fitnessgoals!!!
