Packing for Disney

Disclosure – Saddleback Leather and Love 41 generously gave me these products but my love for their products is all my own!

This time next week I’ll be at Walt Disney World with this year’s Kidd’s Kids and I can’t wait! I’ve already met several of the kids and I can tell you now, this is going to be a great trip! Be sure to check out the Kidd’s Kids social media throughout the next week. We’ve already started introducing the kids and there will be lots of updates from the trip!

Packing for Disney

I have been to Disney more times than I can count and people always have a ton of questions about the parks and where to eat and what you “must see” … But at the top of my list is packing!

Now, I might be one of those people that over packs on trips because you never know what you might need, but not when I go to Disney World. Disney is the one place where it’s best to keep it simple! You don’t need 2 huge suitcases filled with half your closet. You just need the basics.

A backpack

Find yourself a cute little backpack to wear in the parks. You’ll want easy access to all your stuff but you definitely won’t want to schlep around a purse all day. Look for something lightweight but with lots of pockets and something that has good straps that stay put and don’t cut into your shoulders. This leather Thin Front Pocket Backpack by Saddleback Leather is a fave of mine!

Comfort Is Key!

The most important thing for Disney is to BE COMFORTABLE. It is not a fashion show! You’re there to have fun and be comfortable, not to walk the runway. I learned that very quickly. You will walk more steps than you ever thought possible, so comfort is key. Yoga pants and t-shirts are your best friend and your favorite sneaks are your even better best friend. Pro tip: Take a carry on with a change of clothes. You don’t want to miss out on park time because your luggage went missing! I love my Leather Overnight Duffel Bag from Love 41. Super roomy, easy to carry and fits in the overhead compartment of the plane!

Stay charged!

A portable charger is a must! You’ll probably be in the parks most of the day and you don’t want your phone to die. Because if you don’t social media Disney, did you even go to Disney?

Pack Snacks!

Contrary to popular belief, Disney WILL let you bring snacks into the park. For me, the best way to avoid the ice cream and french fries is to bring my own healthy snacks. I usually bring a couple of power bars or a piece of fruit to keep me on track and keep my energy up. I will, however, allow myself ONE Dole whip because you can’t do Disney without having at least one. And it’s my favorite!

I know everyone has their own packing secrets and I’d love to hear yours! We leave in 6 days!!

xo,
Caroline
