Live in the Vineyard

April isn’t just my Birthday Month. It’s turning out to be what may be the busiest month of my year! There are so many exciting things going on for me right now and while I can’t share everything (yet), I’m SO pumped to share this one!

If you’re not familiar with Live in the Vineyard, it’s an incredible weekend event that takes place in Napa, California twice a year (April and November). Think private performances from amazing musical artists in a VIP setting … and wine. Yummy, delicious wine. It’s a TERRIBLE event 😉

Kidd’s Kids is one of the LITV beneficiaries,  which means the Kidd’s Kids team gets to attend the event every year! I’ve been to LITV several times and I think this year was the best one yet! The artists that performed were all up and coming artists who I am now obsessed with! Thought I’d share them with you guys so you can say you knew them before they were huge. Isn’t that the best?

Tor Miller is a singer/songwriter from Brooklyn, NY and his vibe is as cool as his voice. He is a very unique artist and I just completely admire that he is such an authentic artist. He is just as good live as he is recorded and now I’m completely addicted. I have every song memorized and you should too. His new single is “Carter and Cash” which is awesome and my other favorite is “Headlights”, which you won’t be able to get it out of your head. And that’s a good thing!

Brendan James is also a singer/songwriter from New Hampshire and not only is he uber talented, he is the nicest guy ever. I had a chance to chat with him Saturday night, after the show, and he is one of the most humble people I’ve ever met. I asked him who his influences were and he answered Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon and James Taylor. We also share a love of Ben Folds which comes through on some of his songs. Check out “Be Happy” and “Bring My Love Home” on his new album, The Howl.

Audiodamn! Maybe one one of the funkiest bands I’ve ever seen live. They had the audience eating out of the palm of their hands and it was such a cool sight to see. Give me a cute German accent and some soul meets rock music and I’m in. They have a new EP out called AudioDamn!, and I promise when you listen, your cool points will go up by at least 10. Check them out on Spotify and become obsessed like I did!

After this weekend, I can honestly say I am feeling super blessed! Wine, incredible music and an opportunity to share my love for Kidd’s Kids. Who could ask for more? I’m counting the days until November so I can go back and do it all again!
