Krewe de Kidds: A Mardi Gras Masquerade

Things I love:

Throwing a great party
Getting glam
Kidd’s Kids

And on January 27th, I’m combining all 3!

Since my dad founded Kidd’s Kids in 1991, Kidd’s Kids has taken over 1000 children and their families to Walt Disney World. But those kids have always been between the ages of 5 and 12.

Don’t get me wrong! I totally love all my babies but I’ve always felt like the bigger kids get left out. That’s how I came up with the idea of the Teen Trip. The Teen Trip was something that had been on my heart for a while. You don’t stop being a kid just because you turn 13, and unfortunately, life-altering conditions don’t disappear when you turn 13 either. And if I still love everything Disney at the age of 27, then teenagers must too!

So, last June we took 11 teenagers and their families to Orlando for the inaugural Kidd’s Kids Teen Trip! For 7 days, the families stayed at the Give Kids the World Village and visited Disney World, Universal Studios and Sea World. I had so much fun hanging with the big kids that I want to do it again! But I need your help … And what better way to raise money than with an amazing party?

On January 27th, I’m throwing the ultimate Mardi Gras party … Krewe de Kidds: A Mardi Gras Masquerade! The event is going to be at the House of Blues in Dallas and it is going to be awesome! DJ Mike Morse of Radio DJs will be there along with a special appearance from Jason Castro (from American Idol) and his band Castro.

There will be heavy hors d’oeuvres by Chef Samir Dhurandhar of Nick & Sam’s Steakhouse and he’s even creating a special signature hors d’oeuvre for the party.

And then there’s my favorite part! The mask! Since it’s a masquerade, you must have a mask and it’s black-tie optional which means you can finally wear that sassy formal number you bought because it looked great on you, but never had anywhere to wear it. Or, you can just buy something new! Either way, this is a chance to get glammed up and have a great night out!

I’ll be there, the Kidd Kraddick Morning Show will be there and I hope you’ll be there too! Tickets are $75 and all of the proceeds will benefit the Kidd’s Kids Teen Trip. Tickets are going to go fast, so don’t wait! Get your tickets now and join Kidd’s Kids as we bring New Orleans and Mardi Gras to Dallas!

xo,
Caroline
