In case you can’t tell, I’m a girly girl. I always have been, even when I was little. I’ve always loved playing with makeup and doing my hair and there was a time I flat out refused to wear pants. It was nothing but dresses for this girly girl! So when we decided to take Kidd’s Kids Glam, I couldn’t have been happier.
You probably know about the Kidd’s Kids trip, where we take chronically and terminally ill kids and their families to Disney World, but you may not know about Kidd’s Kids Glam. My dad came up with the idea several years ago to expand the Kidd’s Kids reach to kids that didn’t get to go on the trip. The original concept was a spa-type makeover day for young girls who were stuck in the hospital. They might have been in the hospital recovering from surgery or receiving in-patient care. Or maybe they were in for observation or for follow up check-ups. But they all had one thing in common. They needed a little pick me up! So, being a glamour girl myself, I decided to revamp the program a bit. You know, give it a little makeover. (See what I did there? 😉 )
