The Happiest Space In My Home

How does so much happy fit on such a small table?

It’s funny how happy the little things can make you. And how easily we forget about them.

How to create a happy space

I’m obsessed with home décor. I love to decorate and arrange things to create a “scene”. I’ve had this grouping for a while but for the first time, I really noticed the joy it brought me. I took a quick picture and posted it on my social media and then the comments started rolling in. I got lots of questions and comments about the books and pictures and it wasn’t until then that I realized how necessary that space is. And how everyone should have one!

My Happy Space

Flowers are one of my favorite things! I love the way they look and the way they smell and I have fresh flowers in my house all the time. Whole Foods is my go-to spot to buy flowers. They always have a great selection and they aren’t super pricey. Plus, I can pick them up when I buy groceries and not have to make an extra trip!

2 of the books on the table, I read every day. Breaking Free, Day by Day by Beth Moore and Jesus Calling by Sarah Young are both daily devotionals and I start my day with them every morning. Reading a daily devotional clears my mind, centers me and puts me in a good place to start the day. My friend Carolyn gave me The Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes and I just started it. When I finish, I’ll let you know what I thought!

My dad gave me this journal and at the end of every day, I write what I’m thankful for. For me, it’s a good way to end the day because even if the day was awful, I’m reminded that my life is still really great. Also, this journal means the world to me because where my dad signed it “I LOVE YOU” is what I used for the tattoo on my wrist.

Like most people, my house is filled with pictures of friends and family but the ones that mean the most are on this table. I love the picture of my dad on the air because it shows him doing what he loved. The others are photos with my besties, Nicole and Bailee, and J. Mack, a long-time friend and my Covers With Caroline singing partner.

To be honest, I didn’t put a ton of thought into what I would put there. It’s my bedside table so I put things there that I use on a daily basis. I also wanted a little pretty so I added the flowers and pictures, and then I was done. A quick grouping of a few simple things turned into the happiest space in my home!
