Goodbye 27, Hello Whole30
It’s official. My birthday month is over. But Whole30 is not.
I’m one of those people. The people that celebrate their birthday all month long. And when I say I celebrated …
I spent a week in LA, writing and recording new music.
There was a quick trip to Disneyland.
I performed at Big Beat Dallas.
I spent a week in Nashville working on a few things and celebrating my birthday with my besties.
Finished up the celebrating with an amazing birthday dinner, prepared by my bestie who went to culinary school!
So, needless to say, I haven’t been 100% Whole30 compliant. Oops.
But, I can honestly say I’m not stressed about it. Whole30 truly changed my relationship with food and for the first time, I don’t feel like I’ve been cheating on a “diet”. As cliche as it sounds, Whole30 really is a lifestyle change so there’s no guilt about not “staying on plan”. Instead, I went grocery shopping today, picked up all my essentials and now I’m planning out my meals for the rest of the week!
One of the things that really helped me get through the initial phase of Whole30 is eating really good. No bland chicken breasts with flavorless steamed veggies because I’m eating real food that tastes amazing!
I’ve had several people tell me they want to try Whole30 but they’re scared. And I totally understand. So I pulled a couple of my Whole30 standards from some of my favorite bloggers for y’all to try. Once you see how yummy Whole30 can be, you’ll have the confidence to do it!
