There are certain pieces in my closet that I just love. Not necessarily because of how they look on me, but because of the emotional attachment. And that emotional attachment can make it hard when it’s time to get rid of things! Now, I’m not talking about that pair of “skinny jeans” I’ll never wear again or that one dress from high school I can no longer get over my hips. I’m talking about the clothes that have a specific memory attached to them. See, I have a theory … every outfit has a story.
Caroline laughs and it’s raining all day
She loves to be one of the girls
She lives in the place in the side of our lives
Where nothing is ever put straight
She turns her self round and she smiles and she says
“This is it that’s the end of the joke”
And loses herself in her dreaming and sleep
And her lovers walk through in their coaches
Pretty in pink, isn’t she?
Pretty in pink, isn’t she?
