Caroline's Favorites - 90s Songs

90s nostalgia is taking over my life. Getting ready for the New Kidd’s Kids on the Block party is bringing back all kinds of awesome childhood memories for me. Obviously with my dad being a DJ, I listened to a LOT of music as a kid. And because it was such a big part of my life, my musical memory association is strong! So, just to get you in the mood, I thought I’d share a few of my favorites … 90s songs, of course!

Save Tonight – Eagle-Eye Cherry

Eagle Eye Cherry Favorite 90s songs

I wasn’t quite old enough to understand what it meant when it came out, but this always felt like the ultimate 90s anthem to me.

“Save tonight
Fight the break of dawn
Come tomorrow
Tomorrow I’ll be gone”

This was before my teen angst stage, but being a theater kid, I was no stranger to drama! LOL!

Get What You Give – New Radicals

New Radicals Favorite 90s songs

This is one of those songs that just makes me happy. It’s such a feel good song that it surpasses the 90s. You could listen to it today and it would fit right in with today’s music.

How Bizarre – OMC

OMC Favorite 90s songs

This song reminds me of the hundreds of times I watched The Parent Trap. The Lindsay Lohan version, because 90s! It plays in the scene where Annie and Hallie are camping with their dad and future, evil stepmom, Meredith. All these years later and it’s still so funky and fresh!

Giddy Up – NSYNC

NSYNC Favorite 90s songs

I was always a huge NSYNC fan. NSYNC has always been my favorite boy band (over Backstreet Boys). Their first album wasn’t a massive success and hardly anyone has even heard “Giddy Up”, but it’s still one of my favorites. It takes me back to my first boy band crush; JC (shoutout) Chasez all the way! Justin who?

There are so many more, I could honestly go all day long! Tell me what you’d add to your 90s playlist so I can pass it on to our awesome party DJs!
