So, How's That Bone Broth Challenge Going?

We’re almost halfway through the month and I am 100% in healthy mode!

Every January, I do Dry January (no alcohol, y’all!) to kind of give my body a reset after the holidays and to give myself a healthy start to the new year.

I’ve been working with my nutritionist, Cassie Green aka the Green Grocer, and she’s been giving me ways to start strong in January and then continue throughout the year. Cassie suggested I do the Bone Broth Challenge to give my body a boost and since I have some exciting things happening at the end of the month, I decided to give it a try!

To get me started, Cassie sent me Dr. Kellyann’s Bone Broth Diet book and I used that as my basis for all things bone broth. I had hoped to do Whole 30 during January, as well, but I’ll be traveling this month and didn’t want to set myself up for failure. I decided to go with a modified version instead.

My friend and blogger, Alex, runs The Defined Dish and I’ve been following her like the Bible! Her blog is filled with recipes that are Whole 30/Paleo friendly and actually taste GOOD! Bland and blah food is the easiest way to derail me, so I love that Alex’s recipes are filled with flavor!

Now, I’d like to say I’m at home every night whipping up my own batches of bone broth, but we all know that’s not happening. Instead, I use bone broth from Green Grocer or Kettle & Fire. Depending on where you live, one may be easier to get than the other, but they’re both great!

So far, I’ve been doing a pretty good job of sticking to the plan and haven’t been tempted … too much! But I’ve got a goal, so the only option is success. If you joined me on the challenge, I’d love to hear how you’re doing. We’re in this thing together!
