You know how you have that one thing in your life that people remember about you? Mine is Bath Time With Caroline. Back in my dad’s early radio days, my dad would interview me while I took a bath and then play it back on the radio. I would say the most random things and it became this big thing. And what’s funny is people still come up to me and say, “I remember when you did ‘Bath Time with Caroline”!
Well, some things never change. My dad used to call me his “bath baby” because I could sit in the tub for hours. And I’m still that way! But I’ve evolved from Barbie bubble bath to more grown up bath products (though I still love a good bubble bath!).
My life is crazy busy right now, so I really have to make an effort to take some time “off” so I don’t get overwhelmed with life! Plus, I think it’s really important to put on your own oxygen mask first. Self-care is a thing, y’all!
My go-to recipe for Bath Time with Caroline is my detox bath recipe. I mix 1 cup of Epsom salt and 2 cups of baking soda with plenty of lavender essential oil and add it to a hot bath. It really helps me wind down after a busy day and I feel completely refreshed afterward. For some extra indulgences, add in your favorite face and hair mask! Heaven!
If I’m feeling particularly fancy, I go full on luxury and light some candles, pour myself some wine and grab a good book. Some of my favorites for a really luxurious bath are Lollia Relax Bubble Bath (fantastic scent that’ll leave you with silky skin), True Vanilla Bubble Bath by Library of Flowers (SO many bubbles) and of course, Lush Bath bombs.
With our busy lives, it can be hard to make time for yourself but a bath is an easy and inexpensive way to take a little me time! So what are you waiting for? Treat yo’ self!
